Dr. Kothari received her Dental degree from Boston University's School of Dental Medicine. She completed her post-graduate residency in General Dentistry from the University of Pennsylvania, and was awarded Fellowship to the Academy of General Dentistry. After enjoying teaching in academics, and working as a General Dentist for 10 years, she pursued a Specialty in Pediatric Dentistry from Temple University Hospital, Philadelphia. She has practiced in Baltimore, Philadelphia, and Michigan prior to returning to her native Ontario.
Dr. Kothari is a Board Certified Specialist in Pediatric Dentistry in both the United States and Canada.
Her extensive training and experience in the effective use of Behaviour Guidance and Sedation Techniques make children's dental experiences positive, comfortable and fun in a relaxed environment.
Dr. Kothari enjoys writing and has published articles in the Journal of Dental Economics on practice management and treating children. She has a strong interest in volunteer efforts and served in Fortaleza, Brazil as a volunteer dentist treating children's dental emergencies. Additionally, she researched/diagnosed oral health issues at an orphanage in Bangalore, India and hopes to devote more time in the future to teaching, and serving in missions.
Dr. Kothari is passionate about serving the community through continuous education and improving Children's Oral Health. She serves as an Examiner for the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry, the highest Board Affiliation for the Pediatric Dental specialty.
