TO KEEP YOU AND YOUR FAMILY SAFE

Covid-19 Notice

December 28, 2020

Setting Expectations

Our commitment to your child’s health and safety remains as steadfast as ever. You will come to recognize the same level of meticulous cleanliness and familiar faces (behind masks!) that you have grown to expect.

Before your child’s appointment, please note 2 steps that must be completed for COVID 19 screenings:

a) Please complete the online screening tool, or message received via text, within 2 days of your child’s appointment

b) You and your child will be screened for COVID-19 and temperatures taken upon arrival at our office.

Additionally:

· We have protocols in place to ensure our staff do not work in the office if unwell. We continue to ask the same of you to keep us healthy, too.

· Kindly wait in your car to be called into the office. We will call or text you when we are ready.

· We will have hand sanitizer available that we will ask you to use when you enter the office. You and your child will be required to wear your own personal mask while in the office. No masks will be necessary for children under 6 years old. You and your child will have your temperature taken as well.

· We will ask you to wear disposable shoe covers available at the entrance area before you enter the office.

· Please bring your own personal devices to help distract your child while at our office because our lounge no longer offers magazines or toys.

· Physical distancing protocols allow only one parent/caregiver at a time in our office.

·
Please call/text us from your vehicle upon arrival and we will respond when it is safe to come upstairs.

· Although frequent surface cleanings are performed by our Team, we still ask you and your child to minimize touching anything

· Appointments will be arranged to allow for physical distancing between patients and limiting people in our lounge. That may mean you are offered fewer options for scheduling your appointment, and wait times may be unpredictable. We always work on “child time” and, as you know, children can be unpredictable with their cooperation level in a dental office setting so please be patient.

· Our reception area and lounge now have protective screens in addition to HEPA filtration units.

· Payments will be cashless. We continue to honour Visa, Mastercard and debit cards only.

· Given all the advance preparation required by us, please understand that any last-minute cancellations by you, will result in a missed appointment fee, and we may not be able to easily accommodate your re-appointment request.

· Lastly, our PPE makes us look different!

The following link provided by Sick Kids’ Hospital contains a great video for your child to watch about PPE in dental offices:

Your cooperation and patience are really appreciated while we resume caring for children. The workflow and pace will be different as we all adjust to finding our new stride.

Thank you, once again, for all your support and positivity and for taking the time to read our instructions. Every little bit helps. Wishing you the very best of Health,

Dr. Priya Kothari and the Team at Kidsworld Pediatric Dentistry
